Do these panels reduce noise and are they easy to use?

Amazon customer response: "At first I didin't have high hopes but I know I really wanted to reduce the noise coming from my room. I got 2 packs of these and set them up on important parts of the room, I didn't even need to cover the whole wall! I even threw the few remaining on my door and so far I've not heard a complaint from the family in... Weeks or a few months. I may honestly get maybe one more bundle just to increase it more but I've been pretty satisfied with these. Now a heads up because there was only 1 issue which I fixed easily. The adhesive is REALLY sticky. Like... Glue traps for bugs sticky. You might end up peeling off the adhesive because it's to busy being stuck to the paper which somehow is stronger hilariously. BUT you can just tear a very tiny corner slightly, grab the sticky bit that might be hanging off the paper and pull them apart and pull the rest of the paper off connected to this corner tag you ripped. And if it's anything to consider I haven't moved homes yet BUT if it's important because this is so sticky, you MIGHT rip the paint off a wall when and if the day comes you move places. Nothing ventured and nothing gained so keep that in mind it MIGHT do that because I had a different idea and wondered if I could pry it off the wall but nope, these things don't wanna let go. Lol but anyways I'm saying money well spent, I've been able to have an amazing time online, in my room and not accidentally be a bother to anyone else in the area."

Question: Are they easy to install?

Customer's response: "Wow. Every home repair/ project should be so easy. Spouse said would not mind if I did entire bath room in same panels. Every once in a while, something goes right...this was one of those moments."

Question: Does these acoustic sound panels noticeably reduce reverberation in rooms?

Amazon Customer Response:

"This is the second time ever i try sound dampening panels.
My main reason was that we recently moved to a new apartment with larger open area that includes living, kitchen, office area and the entrance to the apartment.
Based on the fact that it's a whole open area aside from the bedrooms, our sound devices/bluetooth speakers/sound bars & subwoofers would reverberate across the room, and to some extent, to our neighbors.
Not that we received a complaint or anything (yet) but i wanted a solution that would dampen the reverb for our own enjoyment, and also that limited the travel it had through the walls and the main door.

I can say that it definitely helped with reverb, 12 tiles is not enough for our use but that fault doesn't lie on the product but on the amount the end user but i can say that it makes an audible difference in reverb reduction, i recorded a pre and post panel installation and there is an audible reduction.

I very much prefer this style of "high density" panels over the traditional cheap black foam that look thick and ugly unless you fill the whole wall.

I installed panels in sections of 3, and they look great, there's an audible dampening from the 3 panels i installed on the entryway door from outside, of course there is still sound getting out, but it helps, i am getting 2 more sets to disperse around the area and i expect them to make a difference.

Overall a great product, recommended."

Question: Are these panels reusable?

Answer: Yes, they are reusable. Trideez acoustic panels have very strong adhesive which makes it a little difficult to peel off the panels after they are pasted on a surface. However, one can still remove them for reuse but you have to add some extra adhesive to get the same quality of stickiness as the first time they were used. Other than the adhesive part, you can reuse them and even cut them into any desirable shape. The sound absorption and dampening quality will still work perfectly when reused.

Question: I live where a fairly major road is nearby, and there is an enormous amount of noise. Will these appreciably reduce this, if installed indoors?

Answer: Yes, if the noise comes in mostly through the door, the panels will reduce noise when you cover the door. I have used it on a door leading to my basement. It reduced the noise coming to my living room from of washing and drying machine spinning whenever I do laundry. Yes, it will help reduce the noise from the door. To get the noise to a considerably reduced level, covering the wall on the direction of the noise is a better way to go. Start with the door first.

Question: If I hang these panels on the bathroom wall and "stuckle" ceiling would my children still here my conversation?

Answer: If the bathroom ceiling and door are fully covered, it will effectively reduce the sound. It depends on the type of sound. You will hear a "little something" 😊 but very faintly if it is a loud sound. It very much dampens the sound.

Question: Can you cut these soundproofing panels to size?

Answer: Yes, you can cut the panels into any shape you want. It is made of felt and coccoon cotton material so it will be pretty easy to cut. The square shaped panels already have embossed lines where you can cut through. We hope this helps. Thank you for choosing TriDeez acoustic panels.

Question: Does this product keep out noises that are produced by fireworks that sound like bombs? can they be removed & reused? my rescue dog's can't take it.

Answer: It will reduce the noise although it may not remove it entirely. Yes it can be reused. You may need to get extra glue to place it on a new wall after a long time .

Question: I have noisy neighbors that live above me, if I put these on my ceiling will they drown out the noise?

Answer: It will help dampen the noise but if they are running and jumping loudly in their apartment, it may not help you.

Question: Do they have a chemical smell or a smell to them?

Answer: No, Trideez acoustic panels do not have a chemical smell. It is odourless. Thank you for asking. Let us know if you need anymore information. Many of our customers have attested to our panels having no odour.

From an Amazon customer: I installed the square ones in my office and did not notice any smell.

Question: Do they keep sound out of a room? I want to put them in a bedroom so I can’t hear sounds from the rest of the house.

Answer: They help reduce noise from neighbors when you cover the entire walls. You may still hear a little tiny sound after that.

Question: Do I need to cover the whole wall with these or can I put some here and there to get a similar reduction of noise escaping the room?

Answer: To get the best performance the walls need to be covered especially in a place like an escape room. However, placing the tiles with some spacing will also work but won't produce the same quality.

Question: Can I paint these without messing up the adhesive?

Answer: Yes, you can paint it. The adhesive will still be in place and the noise reducing and sound absorbing features will still work.

Question: Can you hang on the ceiling to prevent rising noise?

Answer: Yes, you can paste on the ceiling to reduce noise from within. TriDeez adhesive does not peel off your wall paint as shown in this video. Sometimes, if the panel is pulled off the wall with a very strong force, a little part of the adhesive film may peel off and stick to the wall which is also easy to remove.

Question: How many panels would I need for certain sizes for different rooms?

Answer: For a 10ft *8ft wall without window or door, you will need 80 pieces of the square panels. Our square panels come with 12 pieces of 12 inches by 12 inches panels in a box which is 1 square foot. 7 boxes of the square shape gives 84 units and be left with extra 4 pieces. The good thing is you can cut the panel, glue together and get any dimension you want.

Question: What are the benefits of using hexagon vs squares panels?

Answer: The shape benefit is only in the style or the outcome the user gets after covering their areas of interest. The square shaped panels easily line up on the wall or ceiling. Hexagon one look like honeycomb if you like that.

Question: How easy it would be to take off and reapply somewhere else?

Answer: It is easy to remove and reuse. Well peeling off, do that gently so as not to peel off the paint on your wall or yank off the glue you would need to reapply it.

Question: What is the best way to clean these panels?

Answer: It can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.

Question: How much do the panels suppress sound (i.e. how many decibels)?

Answer: The sound absorption coefficient reaches 0.85-0.94 in the noise range of 125-400HZ.

Question: Can they be used in any room, or is moisture a factor?

Answer: Yes, they can be used in any room as long as the walls are dry. Wet walls or ceilings affect the stickiness of the panels.
